Dear all,
Unfortunately, we won't be able to make our trip to Palama neither next Wednesday because the bus has not been fixed yet. Anyway, I have closed for April 24th, and hopefully the bus will run. We will go on with our program, and we will fix it on the way with the additional information that we will get later from our visit. Of course, we cannot wait until the visit to complete the first part of our course.
For the next week, you will conclude the maps you are working on, and we will start to think about where to relocate the village, making some hypothesis. This will take place with a mix of presentations and roundtable. The presence of all the students is requested to have an open debate on ideas and problems. We will have a guest so we can present to him the subject of the course, and he will help us with the discussion. He is an expert in citizens' participation and related fields, so most probably he can give also some advice about how to plan for our visit and how a community can work. So next week program will be that:
Tuesday: Presentation by our guest and roundtable/presentation. In the presentation you can show layers, the maps or more maps, pictures, information, suggested relocation and problems related to your proposal). The presentation if virtual only virtual with the drawings/img/etc. that you prefer. Scope of the presentation.
Wednesday: Roundtable/presentations and beginning of the design phase with the first shared ideas.
In the folder εγγραφα, I reorganized the documents. Please check all the new documents. Among others, you can find:
- a .rar folder with all the planning strategies by HVA after the 2023 flooding. and maps about the floodings
- the collection of the case-studies of the first exercise.
- some text about mapping the territory
- the lecture that I gave on Tuesday about maps and collage.
