Teamwork: Three Presentations:
1. A group of three female students presented
their work on: "Spartan Women and their role in society"
As mothers/ wives. Independent compared to
the Athenian women or other women in the rest
of Greece
2. Two female students presented: "Women in Athens".
Less free than their Spartan counterparts.
Stayed more at home, looked after their children, and
they would get married at a very young age (12-15).
Pericles and Aspasia (who came from Ionia, Asia Minor).
Aspasia was a well-educated woman and could take part
in discussions with men. That was unconventional for the
Athenian citizens at that time.
3. Four female students presented: "Women in ancient Sparta".
On Spartan women's education, family, economy, marriage,
elopement ("κλέψιμο") a kind of custom - a woman would
elope with a man, in order to get married.
[Helen and Paris]. Young boys were prepared for war.
