This specification allows students to delve into the world of Mythology by focusing on a selection of myths, while observing and investigating cultural characteristics of indigenous peoples hailing from a distant past.
‘Myth’ originally meant what was real, what encompassed the heart of the truth of a community, a story, or stories, that embraced and reflected what was significant in a society’s life and therefore had to be preserved.
There may be references to some of the Arts, additionally.
