ΤΣΟΥΤΣΟΥΛΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ ΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΙΑ-ΜΑΡΙΝ

Περιγραφή

This specification allows students to delve into the world of Mythology by focusing on a selection of myths, while observing and investigating cultural characteristics of indigenous peoples hailing from a distant past. References will be made to some of the Arts, in addition to some of the contents of the texts studied.

‘Myth’ originally meant what was real, what encompassed the heart of the truth of a community, a story, or stories, that embraced and reflected what was significant in a society’s life and therefore had to be preserved.

Our current course aims at including discussions, questions and comments on myths, extensively or in passing, while focusing on learning skills. Teaching and learning will be dynamic with student participation and optional presentations in class.

This course is assessed at the end of the semester through a written examination. Students, who wish to be examined orally, or otherwise, will have to contact the university’s service of “Prosvasi”.
